Dear Classmates, I just wanted to share my thoughts on the RAM model discussed in class. I agree with it almost entirely—99.9%, to be exact—because I have personal experience that strongly supports it. While I’ve briefly mentioned my story before, I haven’t shared the full details until now. For privacy reasons, I’ll keep my ex’s name anonymous, but let’s call him John. Dear Blog, When I think about my journey with communication, I can’t help but reflect on my past relationships—especially with my two exes. Those experiences taught me a lot about love, myself, and what healthy communication really means. My first boyfriend, Ricky, and I met in 8th grade. When high school started, I had a lot of free time and little understanding of healthy emotional boundaries. I constantly messaged him. If he didn’t reply quickly, I’d get upset and sometimes cry. My mood depended on whether I heard from him. Looking back, I realize how much I relied on communication as proof of love. I was clingy, desperate for constant connection, and didn’t understand that it’s okay to have space in a relationship. A psychology teacher once said, “If you think your boyfriend or girlfriend needs to text you every second of the day, get a life.” At the time, it stung, but it stuck with me. Final Blog...Again

 Dear Blog When people ask about my family, I usually pause for a second—because it’s hard to sum up a crew like mine in just a sentence or two. We’re not small. We’re not traditional. Furthermore, we’re definitely not quiet. We are real though. If there’s one thing I’ve learned from growing up in a blended family of ten kids, it’s that love doesn’t always follow a formula. I live in Idaho now for school (BYU–Idaho, shoutout), and my older sister Azren lives in Arizona, closer to home. Being away has actually helped me look at my family with fresh eyes. Back home, there’s my mom, my stepdad, Big Mikey (he’s not technically "big" but the nickname just works), and my siblings—a full squad of brothers and sisters, all with their own personalities, jokes, and noise levels.
